EQUINOX JOURNEY TO PERU 2011:
CONNECTING THE STARGATES
September 15 – Sept 26, 2011

Day 01 - Sept 15 - Thurs – ARRIVAL LIMA from US flights. 
Group arrives in Lima and will be assisted by Amaru at the airport to pick you up and take you to our Hotel.

Note: most of flights from US arrive between 10pm and 11:45 pm

Day 02 - Sept 16 – Fri - DAY TOUR LIMA
Breakfast at hotel in Miraflores. We will visit the archaeological museums of Lima to view the highlights of Inca and pre-Inca culture.
Group Lunch. Evening lecture with Amaru & Mary on Caral, the oldest city in South America

Day 03 - Sept 17 - Sat - CARAL
Early breakfast  at hotel. We will travel by private bus (3 hrs) to the site. After lunch we will visit the city of Caral, where will be guided into the different constructions, the 6 monumental pyramids, and the amphitheater, of the first Peruvian civilization and the America. This city dates of 5,000 years of antiquity and is located chronologically parallel to the construction of the Egypt pyramids. It is also thought to be dedicated to sound healing much like the temple complex of Saqqara in Egypt. Return back to Lima.
Overnight  hotel in Lima.

Day 04 - Sept 18 - Sun - MORNING FLIGHT TO CUSCO
After arriving at Cusco airport, we will be transported by bus to our Hotel in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. After check-in we will rest and have lunch. Walking the gardens surrounded by the Spirits of the Andean mountains (“Apus”) is an incredibly healing experience. All food served at the Hotel is 100% organic and grown on their land with loving care and respect to the Pacha Mama. Here, we begin our “awakening” of the Light Body codes in a very healing and blessed environment. Afternoon Amaru will perform a “Munay” blessing and protection fire ceremony to the Apus, the protective spirits of the mountains.

Day 05 - Sept 19 - Sacred Valley  
After breakfast at out hotel, we depart for Pisac market, which is a colorful traditional open air Indian market famous for its traditional weavings, hand-made jewelry, artifacts, and local food. Optional trek after lunch to the Inca Sun temple of Pisac. (This hike is considered “moderately strenuous, 3-4 hours, and requires comfortable hiking shoes). Pisac is famous for the circular agricultural terraces built by the Incas, and the views from the mountaintop are spectacular. For those not doing the trek, they may further explore the market or return to hotel by taxi.  We will return to hotel for dinner. (B, L)

Day 06 - Sept 20 - Ollantaytambo
After breakfast at our hotel, we depart for Sacred Valley and the Temple of Ollaytaytambo. We will visit the megalithic  Sun Temple (or portal) at Ollaytaytambo, which is reminiscent of the masonry of ancient Egyptian’s sun temples, quarried from massive stone blocks and then transported to the present site. We will experience a Shamanic Water blessing & purification ceremony at Inca Princesses’ ceremonial baths. Dinner at hotel. Group meeting with Mary and Amaru. Overnight at Hotel. (B, L, D)

Day 07 – Sept 21 –Sacred valley
Sacred Valley. Breakfast at hotel. This is a free day of rest and integration in preparation for our initiation at Machu Picchu. Private readings will be available with Mary (to be scheduled in advance). Optional Shamanic healing  work and sharing of the sacred plant medicine teaching with Amaru. For those wishing to do the plant ceremony ,you must speak with Amaru upon registration.  Dinner at hotel. Overnight at Hotel. (B)

Day 08 - Sept 22 –  Aguas Calientes
Breakfast at hotel and check out. We will transfer to the train for our journey through Sacred Valley to Aguas Calientes, which means “hot water”.  Here, we will check into our Hotel at the base of Machu Picchu. Free time to explore the city of Aguas Calientes with Amaru; shopping and hiking amidst the gorgeous views of the Machu Picchu mountains and rivers. Overnight  Aguas Calientes. (B L,)

Day 09 - Sept 23 -  M achu Picchu - Spring Equinox
Breakfast at hotel. We will spend the entire day at Machu Picchu for the Spring Equinox.  We will take the bus up the mountains to the Lost City and explore the main power spots and temples of the Sacred Crystal City with Amaru. Mary will explain the astrological and astronomical signatures found here, as well as the connections between the ancient Egyptian and Incan cosmologies. There will be ample time for meditation and exploring on your own. Overnight  Hotel in Aguas (B, D).

Day 10 – Sept 24 – Aguas Calientes – Cusco
After breakfast, we journey back to Cusco. Check into our hotel in the main city of the Inca Empire, the city of the Puma. We will visit the Inca Sun Temple of Korikancha, which mean “Enclosure of Gold”. This was the most important temple of the Inca Empire, and it was here that the Inca rulers kept their famed “Golden Disc of the Sun”. Mary will explain the archaeological correlations between Korikancha and the Valley Temple of the Sphinx at Giza. Overnight Cusco. (B, L)

Day 11 - Sept 25 - Cusco
Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast, we will explore the sacred areas of Cusco: the TEMPLE OF THE HEART; the TEMPLE OF THE MOON; SACSAYHUAMAN and Kenko, dedicated to the PachaMama. Afternoon free for shopping and lunch on your own.
Group Farewell Dinner. Overnight in Cusco. (B, D).

Day 12 - Sept 26 - Monday Cusco - Lima
After breakfast, transfer to Cusco airport for flights to Lima. Depending on flight times, we will have an optional day in Lima to explore the local Indian market or rest before
transfer to international flights. (B)
